London born Soy Mustafa releases the first in a series of EP’s for “one of the brightest labels to emerge from these shores” as described by Phonica for Cinematic Recordings.
Soy’s debut release comes in the form of “Red”, a no nonsense straight up House track with stabby chords and relentless groove evident on the S2K Rendition.
On remix duty Cinematic pulls in the now Berlin based Parisian Alexkid who’s career spans over a decade in Techno and Electronics, originally cutting his teeth alongside Laurent Garnier at F-Comm. Alex pulls out all the stabs on his remix with a stomping kick that further extentuiates that groove and forms that hybrid of House and Techno with soul.
Completing the EP “Computer Moods” already burning floors is the hidden gem on this package seeing some great reactions from Watergate, Berlin to Secretsundaze, London. A dirty bass heavy drum track that tears through any Funktion One sound system!!
As a bonus track Jonny Millers remix takes things a step further for the purists at 130BPM for the jazzier heads…..one not to sleep on!
